KILL CHEERLEADER 4/13/2006
All Hail Review
by Evan Davies, NOW Magazine
Ever wonder where we'd be if, say, Motörhead or Mötley Crüe had never existed? Maybe I'd be a police officer. Maybe you'd be the prime minister. One thing's for sure: Kill Cheerleader wouldn't be around. But hold on there -- just because they really sound like other bands doesn't make 'em terrible. In fact, All Hail is a well-executed and upbeat hard rock album that succeeds at capturing the band's energy and sweat without compromising quality. And even though the musical plagiarism is more than suspect, Cheerleader sound like a drunken, messy, balls-to-the-wall good time.
Kill Cheerleader release their CD at the Vatikan Friday (April 14).
