KCUF features members of System of a Down, Korn and Slipknot, but you would never know it. This super group gives it hard fast, and sloppy. The project was the brain-child of ex-GWAR roadie Crazy “White” Sean. The record was basically made as a fun “side project.” There is no real musical talent demonstrated in the tracks, just fast and hard punk rock with a lot of attitude.

Perhaps the real talent is shown in “Goldfish” and the remix of “Goldfish.” The original track is only six seconds long. The remix, however, is two minutes and 16 seconds long. It’s almost like that annoying kid who hangs out even though nobody invites him, taking a joke that was kind of funny and just rehashing it for the rest of the night. The funniest part about it is that this kid doesn’t realize that you’re laughing at him instead of the joke.

Modern Primitive Punk is a good time, but there’s nothing musically admirable about it. There’s no notable talent put into it. But it’s like a piece of memorabilia. There are so many big name contributers, such as Shavo Odajian of System of a Down, Sid “DJ Starscream” Wilson of Slipknot and James “Munkey” Shaffer of Korn. It’s worth looking into for fans of those bands and basically for anyone with an off the wall sense of humor who would enjoy a record ended with a track of someone taking, what sounds like, a very painful shit.
