Due to an overwhelming amount of requests to actually hear some music, Tinjen has decided to release a demo version of the song "Glory Girl" over on the official Tinjen myspace page. Check it out and let the band know what you think.

    o Rikets and Tinjen.
    Sunday October 23, 2005
So there are plenty of rumours flying around in the Rikets camp, so we figured it was high time that we let everyone know what the Hell was going on.

So first and foremost, Rikets has not broken up. In fact, quite the contrary, founding member/vocalist Scott Rose began tracking songs for Rikets' upcoming debut LP A God Among Insects, last week, with producer/co-conspirator Ben Schigel (Chimaira, Allele). The first track "The Murder", has been posted on the band's Myspace here .

"The Murder" will however be the last track to feature most of the AFTD lineup, as Rikets has unfortunately parted ways with several members, including guitarist Bradley Kochmit (Switched), drummer Angel (Genitorturers), and sampler/vocalist Matt Haze, who have all resurfaced in a new project called Tinjen, (with Matt assuming lead vocals) that can be found at http://www.myspace.com/tinjen .

Additionally, Tinjen and Corporate Punishment have worked out a deal that will see the release of their as-yet-untitled debut LP in stores Spring/Summer 2006.

Unfortunately, Rikets was forced to cancel the show this weekend in Muncie, Indiana, but, wherever possible, all of the remaining dates will be honored.

Vocalist Rose had this to say "All the guys in this band are like brothers, and it won't be the same without them. We've had a Hell of a ride the past year, and I wish them the best of luck, and thank them wholeheartedly for their contributions. Unfortunately there were personal and musical differences that spiraled out of control, and this is the end result. But, that said, we've come way too far to throw in the towel now."

He continues, "Rikets started as a studio project with me and Ben [Schigel], and that's how a lot of the EP was recorded, and now, for the time being it is again. We do have some great players lined up to fill in for all the live shows, and to come play on the record, and I will do everything in my power to make sure no one is disappointed. Again, we apologize profusely to Doc's Club, all the fans in Indiana, and anyone affected or disappointed by this, but we will try to get back soon to make it up. "

Rikets Anything for the Devil is in stores now.
