<media:text type="html">NEVER ENOUGH has been reviewed over at TuneLabMusic.com and been given an 8/10 score. The website said:

"For those of you expecting to hear Eighteen Visions part deux, you might be in for a bit of a surprise, as Never Enough’s debut affair is a creative and expressive down-tuned, synth-driven stomp in the mud that would leave Gravity Kills salivating; never fear Eighteen Visions fans, for Never Enough has taken the dark, brooding backdrop that comprised the last 18V record and applied it to their bondage-ready behemoth of an album."

ONESIDEZERO TunelabMusic.com Review

 <media:text type="html">
OSZ - TunelabMusic.com Review:

Review: Onesidezero - 'Onesidezero'
Contributed By:

Onesidezero is:
Jasan Radford (Vocals/ Guitar)
Levn Sultanian (Guitar / Vocals)
Cristian Hernandez (Bass)
Rob Basile (Drums)

Overview:
L.A.-based hard rock act Onesidezero released their major-label debut,
'Is This Room Getting Smaller' for Maverick Records in 2001, toured
extensively, and then disappeared. The band members decided to go on
hiatus and worked with various other projects. Eventually they thought
it would be better to get back together, and six years later they
finally released their self-titled sophomore album.

The Good:
Front-man Jasan Radford sounds remarkably similar to 10 Years' singer
Jesse Hasek, who in turn, sounds an awful lot like Tool's mouthpiece,
Maynard James Keenan. Long story short, the apple doesn't fall much
farther than the other apple that fell from the same tree. If you want
to call 10 Years "Tool Lite", then Onesidezero is "10 Years Lite". That
means their eponymous album is a melodic hard rock affair with
prog-rock tendencies. Everything is tightly-knit together, and the
production is great. The guitars are driving and grinding the whole way
through, giving way to a few dandy (though short) guitar solos, which
are relatively clean throughout the album, with one major exception
(see "Safely Forgotten", where the distortion is turned up to maximum
effect). Onesidezero is able to play both fast and slow without losing
any effect either. "Breath" is a bass-driven number that alternates
between soft and slow in the verses to fast and heavy in the chorus.
"My Confession" is a great heavy hitter, where drummer Rob Basile gets
to show off his own speed. On the lighter side, "Who Will Stop The
Rain?" has an almost sing-song feel to it over a slowly-developing
riff, and "Carry Us Away" is a clean acoustic track that features some
of the strongest songwriting on the whole album. Many of the songs
feature well-written lyrics, such as the anti-war "Carry Your Gun". No
worries, though, they aren't all political.

Bottomline: For a
band that had been apart for as long as Onesidezero, they sound great
and you wouldn't think there had been a six year break between albums.
Working on their side projects helped keep them fresh undoubtedly, but
it's great they were able to maintain their personal chemistry during
the layoff. 'Onesidezero' (the album) is a welcome return for them, and
better than what you'd expect for most bands of their sort.

ONESIDEZERO Gets Rave Review from Blistering.com!

 <media:text type="html">The metal bible for online fans, Blistering.com, has posted a rave review of the new ONESIDEZERO album over at www.Blistering.com

An excert from the review is as follows:

The time away from the band appears to have helped them. Maybe the inspiration bug bit them, as these newest songs grab you from beginning to end. This disc shows musical growth since the “Is This Room…” days.

Stylistically, Onesidezero does not stray too far off from the debut. The melodies that fans remember are still there and Radford delivers his powerful vocals, taking it to a higher level than what was displayed on the debut. The softer vocal style on the slower songs like “Levitation” and “Sleep” is still there, but also holds up on more uptempo tunes like “Carry Your Gun.” There is a lot more variety of styles, which is what the prior release lacked
“Onesidezero” could be a sleeper release within a year of releases featuring balls-out heavy metalcore and sensitivity enforced emo music. Maybe these guys could remind the world what happens when good songs are written and reactions that come from it. Crazy idea, huh?

Dangerous Toys/Broken Teeth frontman Comments on Upcoming Live CD/DVD ; Shadows Fall Cover

 <media:text type="html">
Dangerous Toys/Broken Teeth frontman Jason McMaster recently spoke to Anarchy Music about the upcoming Live CD/DVD Set "XX", which will see release later this year through Corporate Punishment Records. McMaster also spoke about Shadows Fall covering Dangerous Toys "Teasin' Pleasin'".

Excerpts from the interview are as follows:

Anarchy Music: Dangerous Toys has a 20 year anniversary CD and DVD coming out. What can us tell me about that?

Jason McMaster: Dangerous Toys officially started in October of 1987. 20 years and 4 or 5 albums later, a few reunion shows, a couple of trips to Japan and some touring with our idols, we've had a really great time. This is just a celebratory "thank you" to the fans and to rock-n-roll. The DVD was filmed at a club here in Austin where we all still live. When we do reunion shows, generally people fly in from all over the place, Japan and all over the states. The phones blow up and it gets kind of crazy. It's fun and it gave us more reason to celebrate the whole thing. We go real deep into most of the recordings as farthe material we did. We did "Demon Bell", which is the song we did on the soundtrack to Wes Craven's Shocker. It had never been played live until this particular show. The cover will be done by Tommy Pons, the original clown artist who also lives here in Austin now. We're trying to do it as a real Dangerous Toys release, except that unlike most major label releases, this one will be fully band endorsed. No corporate decisions on this one.

Anarchy Music: Shadows Fall did a cover of the Dangerous Toys hit Teasin' Pleasin' which you did guest vocals on. Were you a fan of thiers prior to them contacting you about doing the cover?

Jason: Honestly, I had only heard the name Shadows Fall and never seen them live, not before what you're talking about but Shadows fall had been hitting clubs in Texas for 10 years. I heard the name and seen it around, heard great reviews of the band but hadn't heard anything until someone called me and said "dude, I just saw Shadows Fall and when they got off stage one of the guys was walking around wearing an old school vintage Dangerous Toys tour shirt." I said, "you're shitting me" and he said "no, in fact I talked to him and I got his email address and he wants to talk to you". I got the guitar player Matt's email address and we started emailing. It wasn't until when i started talking to those guys that I started catching up their material and meeting more and more Shadows Fall fans. those guys are totally cool and I met them a couple of times. One day I got an email from Matt saying "hey, we want to cover a Toys song" I was trying to sell them "Bones In The Gutter and they weren't having it. They said "fuck that, we want to do the hit!" When you see them play you can't not walk away saying "I just got my ass kicked with Rock". Those guys are not fucking around when they're up to there. They mean that shit and they bring it to the cauldron. You know what I mean? They call you up to it. That what it takes, man. Ultimately, I want my fans just like Shadows Fall wants their fans, just like any Rock band or Metal band. It is Rock and Metal that I'm talking about. It's not any other genre of fans. You're either into it to death from birth or the day you first heard Black Sabbath or whatever your story is. It's not like people you may meet that are just a farce that say "yeah, i used to like Heavy Metal. I had a couple of those albums". That's such bullshit. No, you had a couple of Metal albums because your so called friends at school were into it and you were trying to fit in. That's all that it is for someone who's not a Metalhead from day one. I think it's something that you're drawn to. its a cauldron, it's a roundtable, it's a tribe.

The full interview can be read online here:http://www.anarchymusic.net/2007/06/jasonmcmaster

CPR welcomes N3V3R 3N0U6H (ex Eighteen Visions, Lylah)!

 <media:text type="html">Corporate Punishment is proud to announce the signing of Orange County’s NEVER ENOUGH (aka N3V3R 3N0U6H), the new project featuring Eighteen Visions’ guitarist (and ex-Throwdown vocalist/ Death by Stereo guitarist) Keith Barney and Drummer Trevor Friedrich, and Lylah Vocalist/Guitarist Norman Matthew.

The band will release their self produced, as-yet-untitled, debut EP on 9/11 via Corporate Punishment/Koch.

Said Guitarist/Producer Barney, "N3 is an outlet for all the love, rage and sadness in our lives. We know there are people out there that are just like us, people who still truly care about what's going on in the world around them and not just what's right in front of them."

On differences from his past project Barney adds, "lyrically we touch on politics and some other things which never happened in 18v. It's more message and idea driven, really trying to connect with people. There are songs that hit every spectrum of emotions - heavy and pissed, quiet and personal. It’s really important to me that people don’t just see this as an 18V spin-off."

As for the numbers, "everything is based in numbers- population, salaries, status, polls. Numbers represent a lot of the bad things in the world and the le tters represent communication and the things we need more of. People just can't seem to fucking get enough. Can't kill enough. Can't steal enough. Can't get thin enough. Can't get rich enough. You name it and people want more of it."

The band has posted several new tracks on their myspace at http://www.myspace.com/never3nough

A perpetually touring underground favorite, Eighteen Visions released 6 full length LP's and a string of EP's and 7 inches, racking up sales well in excess of a quarter million records, before announcing their break-up in early 2007, less than a year after releasing their Epic/Sony debut 18Visions, which debuted in the Billboard top 200 (as did it's predecessor the TRUSTKILL released Obsession), selling over 12,000 copies the first week. 18V also spawned the #15 Rock single "Victim" (which also served as the theme for WWE PPV event "Vengeance"), and successful worldwide tours with the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage, Him, Lostprophets, Hinder, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Coheed and Cambria, Bullet for My Valentine, Deftones, Thrice, and more.

LYLAH, the brainchild of vocalist/guitarist Norman Matthew formed in El Paso, Texas, in the late 90's, after the demise of his previous project, Supersoul (where he met Corporate Punishment founders Thom Hazaert and Eric Nielsen, after a fateful midnight performance at LA's legendary Whisky a Go-Go), have since become an underground phenomenon of their own, appearing at dates on the Vans Warped Tour from 2003-2005, and alongside artists like Evanescence, Static-X, Sevendust, and more. <media:text type="html">
Hey all, just wanted to post a little note and explain a situation that is currently wreaking havoc on a few of our releases.;nbsp; As some of you might know, earlier this month it was announced that our distributor NAVARRE, sold their music distribution business to KOCH, and the transition would occur on June 1st.

And while this is an amazing development for us, and we couldn't be happier about it, obviously it's a huge transition, and since time was obviously working against us, there's gonna be some fallout. One of the biggest issues is that a couple of our June releases had to be pushed back a little, and the ones that didn't are gonna be a little harder to find for a minute.

Obviously the release MOST affected by this is going to be the ONESIDEZERO record, as it releases (today) June 5th, and the "transition" to Koch just happened last Friday, June 1st. And while Koch recommended we push back all of our June titles, obviously we didn't want to do that to you on Onesidezero, as it had already been pushed back a few times, so we're dealing with it. Honestly, we decided we'd rather have it be out there for someone who REALLY wants to hunt for it and/or order it, than make you wait longer.

But to be perfectly honest, it's been a huge clusterf*ck, but we, and everyone at Koch are doing their best to get these records out there.

So just know, for the next week or so, if you're looking for the OSZ record, it might be a little harder to find than it should be, and it might be a good idea to call around before you go out hunting for it.;nbsp; I do know FYE and BORDERS both have a bunch of copies, so that might be a good place to start, as well as GALAXY, NEWBURY COMICS, BULL MOOSE, ANGELO'S, DOWN IN THE VALLEY, ZIA, HOMER'S, THE EXCLUSIVE COMPANY, DISC EXCHANGE, CROSSROADS,;nbsp; and ELECTRIC FETUS, who all have it as well. And, ANY store that doesn't have it in stock can order it within a few days. And if all else fails, you can always order it off of AMAZON.com, or any number of places online.

Anyway, we apologize again, and know that in the next week or two, (even the next few days) there will be a ton more OSZ records out there,;nbsp; so please bear with us.

Also, it should be available on ITUNES, and all the normal digital retailers NEXT week.

Also, SAPPY BELL's THE NIGHTMARE CHRONICLES, had to be pushed back as well, and should be available in early July. Stay tuned here for updates.

Your friends at CPR.
ONESIDEZERO release date pushed back.

 <media:text type="html">The official release date for Onesidezero's self-titled sophomore LP has been pushed back to June 5th. The official explanation is as follows.

"We regret to inform everyone that we have decided to push back our release date a few weeks to June 5th. As many of you might know, our original release date was April 24th, which also happens to be Genocide Memorial Day, a solemn day with many negative connotations within the Armenian community.

As a band with deep roots within that community, we felt it would be inappropriate to release our album on 4/24, so, with the support of our label, we made the agonizing decision to move it back.

We will, however, be participating in a very special Genocide Awareness benefit on that night at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, and hopefully you can all make it down and support this very worthy cause with us..

OSZ

For more information on the Armenian Genocide please click here.</media:text>

Defiance;nbsp;bass player Mike Kaufmann began recording bass tracks;nbsp;for the bands 4th
coming album and first effort in over;nbsp;13 years. The recording session comes more
than 3 months after the loss of long time guitar player Doug Harrington.

;nbsp;

"I knew it was my
turn to start tracking and I think I needed time to reflect and think about the
tragic loss of a dear friend, brother, and major contributor to Defiance music.
It took;nbsp;me a while before I could even start practicing the songs again but once
I started, it wasn't long before I felt I was ready to get it done. Doug and I
had several conversations about how he wanted me to play over;nbsp;certain guitar
parts that he wrote and I kept that in mind throughout the entire
session"

;nbsp;

It was
almost;nbsp;surreal
talking to;nbsp;him about the album and
how he wanted it to sound and;nbsp;knowing that he wouldn't be around to hear the
finished product. During the last 2 or 3 weeks of his life, we spent a lot of
time talking about what he wanted and didn't want the album to sound like. One
of his main concerns was that we stick to our roots and make sure this is
a;nbsp;'thrash metal' album."

;nbsp;

"I think that we,
as a band,;nbsp;feel that this will be our best recording ever and much of that has
to do with Doug's contribution and hard work even though he knew;nbsp;the end was
near."

It's a given that this album will be entirely
dedicated to Doug.

RIP Doug Harrington 1966-2006

 <media:text type="html">For Immediate Release:
11/16/06
Oakland, CA

Defiance Guitarist Doug Harrington Passes Away

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of our dear friend, bandmate, and artist, Defiance guitarist Doug Harrington. At his request, and for the privacy of his family, we did not make his condition known, but Doug had been quietly battling cancer for much of this year, until Tuesday night when he finally succumbed to it. He went peacefully and in the presence of his wife and family. Born in 1966, he was 40 years old.

Doug was however able to participate in several of the writing and recording sessions for the new DEFIANCE record, including one just 3 days before he passed. When we found out about Doug’s condition, we had already been writing and rehearsing for the new album, and Doug continued to go to practices and participate in the songwriting and it was his wish that we finish the album without him. And although it will be extremely difficult, we will honor his request, and you can expect to see the record in stores this Spring.

Doug was an extremely talented musician, and an even more wonderful human being, and he will be sadly missed by all. Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to all of Doug’s family and friends.

Please keep checking the websites for more information, comments and updates. Also, please feel free to leave comments at the guestbook at www.defiance1.com

Sincerely,
Defiance and Corporate Punishment Records

www.defiance1.com
www.corporatepunishment.com
;nbsp;</media:text>

 <media:text type="html">
FROM BLABBERMOUTH:

;nbsp;

Launch Radio Networks reports: FLYLEAF's second single, "Fully Alive", is a very personal song for lead singer Lacey Mosley. Although she wouldn't go into detail, Mosley told Launch that the tune is about a close friend's longtime battle against illness. "It's about the singer for TRUST COMPANY, Kevin (Palmer), his wife Layla," she said. "She's an awesome person, and you would never guess in a million years that she has the struggle that she has. Kinda changed my perspective about the way that I complain about things, the way that I wake up sad for no reason, and then she wakes up just glad to wake up."

Although TRUST COMPANY broke up earlier this year, Kevin and Layla Palmer currently play in a band called AMITY LANE.

FLYLEAF's self-titled debut album, which came out last September, sits at No. 74 on The Billboard 200, with total sales of more than 346,000 copies.

The Texas-based band is currently on the Family Values Tour with KORN, DEFTONES, 10 YEARS and others, which stops tonight (Monday, August 28) in Toronto, Canada.

;nbsp;

The lyrics are as follows:

;nbsp;

Fully Alive/Flyleaf

Telling Layla's story spoken
About how all her bones are broken
hammers fall on all the peieces
two months in the cover creases

Fully alive, more than most
ready to smile and love life.
Fully alive and she knows
How to believe in futures.

All my complaints shrink to nothing.
I'm ashamed of all my somethings.
She's glad for one day of comfort
Only because she has suffered.

Fully alive, more than most
ready to smile and love life.
Fully alive and she knows
</media:text>
